..So we got on this plane in Vienna. Destination Minneapolis/ Minnesota/ USA. None of us ever asked what we can expect. A small band from Austria? No questions, officer! A couple of tours through Europe in our hands and bad sleeping places in our bones. Some phone calls and many more emails later we had the first barbecue and diarrhea in the US. It may sound complicated to secretaries and pathetic to the rest, but it has something to do with freedom if you play music in a band…. sit packed in a small white van for hours with your friends, play stages dirtier than the thoughts of the sound engineer, meet people where you know from the beginning that these can be your friends for the next 10 years, keep eating bad food in gas stations, talk for hours about music, politics and sexual standards,… and play your music live to people who are at this moment part of the whole thing. And it´s a good thing. I like it.
